I am so sorry families that it took me this long to get these photos up for you to see. In this photo set there are photos of our morning activities, learning about rockets and design with Mr. Gracia, practicing new math games, and the rocket launch!
Here is a link to a cool writing contest that Ms. Moquin shared with the fifth grade teachers.
Here are some photos from our time with our First Grade Friends, Kindergarten's Day of Play, and Field Day! Enjoy ☺️
Here are some photos I took during rehearsals and the morning performance of the play. I am so proud of how hard everyone worked.
If you child really like performing here are some options for some summer theater. https://mommypoppins.com/boston-kids/camps/12-summer-theater-camps-for-boston-kids Concord Youth Theater I am continually impressed with these fifth graders. We are now in our second round of book groups and the reading in the room is infectious. Students now have jobs within their book group and THEY are the ones in charge of running the meetings. I am purely there to provide support and keep everynone on task.
The books being read this round are A Wrinkle in Time, Maniac Magee, The Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus, Freewater, and Holes. The jobs the students have are Discussion Director, Summary Supervisor, Word Wizard, Inference Investigator, and Theme/Trait Teacher! Everyone is taking their job very seriously and I am just amazed at how these conversations are going. Check out some images below of some students in action. This week we also had a very unique and fun Cultural Enrichment where the fifth grade classes all created Tape Art in the main hallways of the school. Check out all of the creativity in the pictures below. Wow! We had a fantastic day at Gillette stadium yesterday. Students got to explore the Hall of Fame Museum and then explore the science of sports balls and create/design their own sports game. Here are some pictures from the fun we had. |
