The Tale of Despereaux By: Kate DiCamillo If you like books that have good endings, The Tale Of Despereaux is for you. The story is about Despereaux the mouse who was different from his brothers and sisters. He taught himself to read and he didn’t like eating paper like the rest of his family did, he also came face to face with a princess and talked to her (Despereaux’s family lives in the walls of a castle, and also a mouse talking to human in this book is a huge disgrace to a mouse family). One day the Mouse Council which his own father was part of, ordered Despereaux to court. In court they were making a decision of whether or not they should send Despereaux to the dungeons. Whether they send Despereaux to the dungeons is your quest to figure out. Read the book to find out what happens Despereaux! Recommendation by G.C.
