The book “Eragon” was written by Christopher Paolini. The Eragon series is a Fantasy series, it has dragons and elves and dwarves, even mages. The setting is set in a mystical land called Alagaesia, a mystical land full of, well, you know. The main characters in this series are Eragon and Saphira, Eragon is a human boy who once stumbled upon a dragon egg, this dragon egg was Saphira, with this, Saphira hatched to him, and made him one of the last Dragon Riders, a people that bonded with dragon’s at birth, then trained with them until they became fully pledged dragon riders. Eragon belongs in a small series called the Inheritance Cycle, part of a larger series adding one extra book, Inheritance. The Inheritance Cycle would be like a sub-series apart of it, while being apart of one big series, Eragon. The Book, Eragon, is important because it shows how bravery can help in life, even in the tougher times. Eragon shows that people can be brave in the slightest or the largest ways, the book itself also shows how you can help others in small or big ways as well. Eragon himself goes through hard times, where people can relate to him, or at least relate with other books, its a fun 4th-5th grade book series where it can be relatable at sometimes, but also just fun to read. I liked Eragon because of how it’s fantasy feeling, if you do like fantasy books, this is probably for you. If you like stories that have cliffhangers at the end of each chapter then you will like this book. The main characters of this book are named Rosalind Penderwick, Jane Penderwick, Skye Penderwick, Batty Penderwick, Jeffrey Tifton, Mrs. Tifton, and Cagney. The Penderwicks is a story about three girls and how where they usually spend the summer is all booked so they spend it at Arundel Hall. They spend the summer there but Picky Mrs. Tifton makes it hard. The son of Mrs. Tifton (Jeffery) became friends with the Penderwicks and helped them on a Journey through the summer and all the obstacles they have to go through to get to the end. That is, The Penderwicks. I would recommend this book to every fourth grader or fifth grader to read because it is a story that just keeps moving forward and never stops. In this book I liked that the Penderwicks and Jeffrey are always looking out for each other. For example Batty once went to pick flowers and a angry bull started chasing her but Jane, Skye, and Jeffrey went to the rescue. Recommended by Lila Spy school by Stuart Gibbs The genre of this book is adventure/fiction. It takes place at a school for spies. The main character is Ben. The problem is he has trouble fitting in. If you are into action this is the book for you. This book reminds me of Die Hard. The beginning of the book is what made me think of it. Recommended by Ryan The book “Odd Gods The ODYssey” by David Slavin is a book about Oddonis and his kinda older brother Adonis this a fictional book. It's about when it's Oddonis' dad's birthday and Oddonis tries to give him a pasta sculpture that he calls Ziti Zeus. Zeus is his dad and then Oddonis gets a letter from his uncle Hades and says that Ziti Zeus is not gonna be a good present and tells Oddy, for short, to give his dad this poem that is on the back of the letter and that poem turns his dad into a baby!!?? Odd Gods: The ODDyssey is a good book because it is full of disaster and fun and some other stuff that can be confusing. So if you are looking for a new book I suggest you read Odd Gods: The ODDyssey or read the first book Odd Gods: Misfit Myths at Olympus Middle School. Recommended by Harry The Land of Stories is the best book series I have ever read. Kids of all ages will enjoy this fantastic fantasy by Chris Colfer. There are six books and the first book of the series is called the Wishing Spell. The two main characters names’ are Alex and Conner Bailey and they are twins. When they turn twelve, their grandmother gives them a beloved fairy-tale book. Little do Alex and Conner know they’re about to enter another dimension: The Land of Stories. All the characters are our favorite fairytale characters, such as Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks, Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Rapunzel, Hansel and Gretel, Mother Goose, and much, much more. There are also our least favorite villains, for example, the Evil Queen, Cinderella’s Wicked stepmother, the Giant, the Sea Witch, the Snow Queen and the Enchantress. It is so fun to read and my eyes were glued to his every word. He makes you turn every page until there is none left to turn. When they enter, the twins encounter a troubling situation: they can get out! So they must race against time to find the ingredients for the Wishing Spell so they can go back home, before someone else finds the ingredients before them... Full of intriguing settings, enchanting magic, fun characters and cliffhangers in every chapter, Chris Colfer creates an amazing world of fiction, and you never want to stop reading it. Recommended by Amelie The book ‘The Lost Hero’ is a great book. The author is Rick Riordan. The story is about the Greek and the Roman gods. The genre is a youth action adventure and is continuation of the ‘Percy Jackson’ book series. The main characters in the book are Jason, Piper, and Leo. Jason is the son of Zeus, Piper is the daughter of Aphrodite, and Leo is the son of Hephaestus. I really recommend this book to Anyone that is reading the ‘Percy Jackson’ series. The books are about kids who have a parent that is a God and a parent that is a mortal. They are called demigods. In the books, they go on Quest / Adventures to either save a God or fight a monster. And on their Quest they sometimes run into evil Greek characters like Medusa and Midas. They use their powers, Jason can control lightning, Piper has charmspeak, and Leo has fire, to solve their quests and their friendship. I think you should read ‘The Lost Hero’ because It is a great and awesome book full of adventures and fun also learn some Greek mythology. Recommended by Ethan |
